Horses naturally provide immediate and honest feedback to the participant. This creates an opportunity for change and growth.
Equine Assisted Personal Development (EAPD) Coaches work with clients to help them discover how to bring about change in their lives. Working with the horse as their partner, the EAPD Coach will ask questions that help their client find the right answers. The Coach will then guide them as they establish new goals, and ways to overcome obstacles. The horse, client and the EAPD Coach work as a team working toward life transformations.
No, you will not be riding our horses at this time. You and your horse will work together on ground exercises specifically chosen for you. The coach will interpret and share what the horse’s body language is saying. It is a very powerful introduction to the horse-to-human connection.
Spending time with animals and pets can have a positive effect on our mood. Research also suggests that horses may have a sixth sense that can identify anxiety, stress, and fear in humans. This sixth sense can help individuals identify these emotions in themselves.
Horses are sentient beings and highly perceptive to emotions. They constantly provide non-verbal, embodied and authentic feedback to the client. This then leads to raised self-awareness, self-regulation and helps us to identify feelings and patterns of behaviours.
Horses can read human emotions, in accurate ways; alerting us to our sadness or nervousness, sometimes before we’ve even consciously registered it.
